The majority of people will respond with a QUICK and 'obvious' yes to this question. Others will respond with an answer like 'Money isn't everything, what are you going to do with all of that?' If that is you, this read may not be for you. But if you are the former, then you know it's the journey that gets you to extreme levels of wealth that IS everything.
So, why are there only 11 million people that have accomplished this feat out of 300 million+ Americans? That's under 4% of the population. Why do some people rise out of the most unfortunate of circumstances to become wealthy visionairies and great leaders, while the majority gets 'stuck in the rat race'?
For long lasting success, you must BEcome a better YOU. Jim Rohn says
"Pity the man who inherits a million dollars and who isn't a millionaire. Here's what would be pitiful: If your income grew and you didn't."
Yes you are focusing on you. And no its not selfish. Everyone around you experiences the benefit of your self-improvements.
While building a million dollar business in a little over a year can be an accomplishment, the goals should get bigger and better. Growth is a part of the human experience. Donate to a charity? Cash flow a million a year? Help others learn to live a more abundant life? Buy your parents a house? Make a billion?
For those of us that want to make millions, here are some qualities that MOST millionaires exhibit:
1. Desire to accomplish great things, usually beyond the realms of just money. This desire generates a decision to attempt the unlikely or the 'impossible'. Every great accomplishment or feat started as a thought, stemming from that thought came a decision. The decision may lead, or have lead, to failure OR success which brings us to the next point....
2. Tenacity or persitance to do what it takes and get back up whenever they get knocked down. The stronger the desire, the less likely they will give up after any number of failures. To make it to the big leagues you must contribute EVERY day to the accomplishment of your goals.
3. Discipline is a part of their lifestyle. It's all about good habits. Aristotle wrote:
"We are what we repeatedly do."
Ok, you are contributing everyday, that's great. Now, ask yourself: How effective am I? How efficient am I? Can I be leveraging people, systems, or tools anywhere in my business/endeavor that I am currently not?
"When your disciplines and actions develop a rythm, you welcome momentum, the BIG MO."
4. Clarity & Confidence to KNOW they are making the right choice. Any entrepreneur will tell you that they currently are, or have at some point, worked on their self confidence. Millionaires develop this confidence by constantly bettering themselves and doing things they are afraid to do. Mark Cuban says:
"When I go into a meeting, I know more on that topic than anyone in the room. I stay up and do my homework."
That's from a billionaire that doesn't have to lift a finger for the rest of his life if he didn't want to. You must be confident in interactions with your peers and in your decision making. You either win or you learn.
The list goes on and on but these are some key qualities that keep the go getters moving no matter what. They are willing to do whatever it takes, read as many books as they have to, go to as many meetings as they have to, and/or watch as many YouTube videos as they have to. They let go of old habits and adopt new beliefs. They eridacate negative people and circumstances from their life. They wake up at 6,5, and even 4 am everyday with a smile on their face and an eagerness to get the day started, not because they have to, but because they have a vision and ideal that they can visualize and strive to reach EVERYDAY.
Do you exibit these qualities? Are you a millionaire? Or are you on your way? Share your story below.
